I’m new to your blog, and hope it’s OK to jump in. I’m an a-mom, both of my kids are teens now (one’s in college and the other will be a senior in high school in the fall).

My children are Korean, and haven’t found their families yet. I don’ t know that they ever will, although I’ve spent a lot of time imagining what reunion might be like for them. It’s heartbreaking to realize that they may find what you describe here, which is something no one should have to experience.

Your father’s ex is a jerk. The kids are still very young. They are a part of who you are - hang in there.

Do not go over the edge on this. Consider the source. Your long term goals are greater that this momentary idiocy.

My good thoughts are with you. You are a beautiful intelligent young woman. I have a wonderful son I have recently reunited with (ever thankful) but only could wish for a daughter like you.

Trust what you know and feel in your heart. I know how much it hurts…I’ve been there and still am, to some degree on and off.

But trust what you know. And, she probably said that to you…to see what you’d say. Just reinforce your love for her…and continue to build a relationship that she knows she can’t count on. She’ll need her big sister that will love her unconditionally and be her biggest cheerleader. Don’t underestimate the influence you have on her…despite whatever junk her mother says.

Oh *hugs* I agree with what Brown said, obviously your Dad reinforces that you ARE their sister (which I’m sure is confusing as all get out to your sisters!) but one day they will get it no matter what their mom says.

OMG how evil!!!!!! I am so very sorry. Your sisters will hate her for that one day. You and your dad just need to keep refering to you as their sister. You are sisters. Nothing can ever change that fact. As they get older they will know the truth of it and just how special it is to have a big sister
